SUMMARY
We are seeking an experienced, reliable, and organized Housekeeper to oversee the cleanliness and upkeep of a private residence in Westmount.
This is a long-term employment opportunity within a private household, offering a stable Monday-to-Friday schedule. The employer is open to both part-time and full-time availability, ranging from 30 to 40 hours per week.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong attention to detail, independence, discretion, and the ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform general housekeeping duties throughout the residence, including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, and common areas.
- Carry out regular and deep cleaning of the various rooms and living spaces.
- Manage household laundry and clothing care, including washing, drying, folding, ironing, and putting items away.
- Maintain the organization and tidiness of living areas, closets, and storage spaces.
- Ensure proper care and maintenance of furniture, surfaces, and delicate materials.
- Rotate and replace household linens as needed.
- Monitor inventory levels of cleaning products and household supplies and report replenishment needs.
- Assist with food preparation.
- Occasionally assist with event preparation and post-event cleanup.
- Contribute to maintaining a welcoming, clean, and orderly home environment.
- Perform other related duties to support the smooth operation of the residence.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
- Relevant housekeeping experience in high-end private residences.
- Excellent knowledge of cleaning techniques, cleaning products, and the proper care of various surfaces.
- Ability to work independently, efficiently, and methodically.
- Strong organizational skills and consistent attention to detail.
- Discretion, honesty, reliability, and respect for confidentiality.
- Professional, courteous, and respectful attitude.
- Ability to adapt to the household's routines and the residents' preferences.
- Proficiency in either French or English.
- Legally authorized to work in Canada.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
- Location: Westmount, Quebec.
- Position Type: Permanent, long-term.
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, five days per week.
- Working Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week, depending on the candidate's preference.
- Living Arrangement: Live-out position.
- Vacation: Three weeks per year.
