Position Description

Summary
Our client, a highly discerning private household based in Burnaby, British Columbia, is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Housekeeper to maintain a refined and well-organized residence.
This role is suited to a professional who takes pride in delivering exceptional standards of cleanliness, discretion, and consistency within a private residence environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform comprehensive housekeeping duties, including daily cleaning, deep cleaning, and overall upkeep of the residence.
  • Ensure all living spaces are maintained to immaculate, presentation-ready standards at all times.
  • Care for fine materials and surfaces (marble, hardwood, specialty finishes, delicate fabrics) with appropriate techniques.
  • Manage laundry and wardrobe care, including ironing, steaming, folding, and basic garment maintenance.
  • Organize closets, storage areas, and household systems with efficiency and attention to detail.
  • Prepare, pack, and unpack suitcases with care and organization, ensuring garments and personal items are handled according to household preferences.
  • Assist with the setup, service, and cleanup during social events and gatherings, maintaining a polished and discreet presence throughout.
  • Handle household errands, including grocery shopping, dry cleaning, and procurement of household supplies.
  • Monitor and replenish household supplies and cleaning products.
  • Assist with seasonal deep cleans and special projects as required.
  • Provide occasional supervision of children and support with their daily routines and activities and ensuring a safe environment.
  • Work collaboratively with other household staff or external service providers when applicable.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Proven experience working in a private household or high-end hospitality environment.
  • Strong understanding of housekeeping standards within a refined or luxury setting.
  • Ability to support light service during events (table setting, clearing, coordination with kitchen staff).
  • Comfortable managing errands and maintaining household logistics efficiently.
  • High level of discretion, professionalism, and respect for confidentiality.
  • Detail-oriented with a proactive and structured approach to tasks.
  • Ability to work independently and maintain consistency without supervision.
  • Physically capable of performing hands-on duties.
  • Flexible and adaptable to the evolving needs of the household.
Additional Information
  • Long-term, permanent position.
  • Monday to Friday, with flexibility required based as needed (occasional evenings/weekends).
