Housekeeper with Strong Hospitality Skills

SUMMARY

A private household is seeking an experienced, service-oriented Housekeeper for a full-time and permanent position. This role is predominantly scheduled during the afternoons and evenings and combines traditional housekeeping responsibilities with dinner preparation and table service.

An important part of the position is supporting the family during the evening, including setting the table, warming and presenting meals prepared in advance by chefs, and providing attentive dinner table service, primarily in an informal family setting.

The ideal candidate is comfortable with social interaction and has a warm, professional presence. They are naturally hospitable, attentive to the family's needs, and able to provide discreet and intuitive service while respecting the relaxed atmosphere of a private home.

The position also includes general housekeeping, laundry, household organization, and other responsibilities contributing to the smooth day-to-day operation of the residence.

Flexibility may occasionally be required based on household needs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide attentive and hospitable service to the family, particularly during the afternoon and evening.
  
• Prepare the dining area and set the table appropriately for family meals.
  
• Provide dinner table service, primarily in an informal family setting.
  
• Clear the table and restore the dining and kitchen areas following meals.
  
• Anticipate the family's needs and remain attentive and always available.
  
• Interact comfortably and professionally with family members while maintaining appropriate boundaries and discretion.
  
• Clean and maintain bathrooms, bedrooms, and common living areas.
  
• Change bed linens and make beds to a high standard.
  
• Perform laundry, ironing, folding, and garment care.
  
• Maintain household organization and cleanliness throughout the residence.
  
• Prepare light meals when required.
  
• Support the smooth day-to-day operation of the residence.
  

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

• Previous housekeeping experience within a high-end private household, hospitality, yachting, or another service-oriented environment.
  
• Experience with table service or a strong understanding of hospitality and meal service is an asset.
  
• Comfortable working predominantly during afternoons and evenings.
  
• Warm, polished, and professional presence.
  
• Naturally hospitable and comfortable interacting with family members.
  
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  
• Professional, trustworthy, and respectful of household privacy.
  
• Must have a current legal working status in Canada.
  
• Must speak French or English.
  

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

• Schedule: Approximately 35 hours per week:
  
• Wednesday: 5 hours
  
• Thursday: 5 hours
  
• Friday: 5 hours
  
• Saturday: 10 hours
  
• Sunday: 10 hours
  
• Hours are predominantly scheduled during the afternoon and evening, particularly to support dinner.
  
• Flexibility may occasionally be required based on household needs.
  
• Competitive compensation, aligned with experience.
  
• Position Type: Permanent, Full-time (approximately 35 hours per week).
  
• Accessible by public transportation.
