Position Description
POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a reliable and versatile individual for a hybrid Chauffeur / Handyman position with a private family currently residing in Mirabel, Quebec. The family residence will be relocated to Rosemère in the summer of 2027.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing safe and reliable transportation for a family member while contributing to the general upkeep, smooth operation, and routine maintenance of the property.
The ideal candidate has extensive driving experience, strong practical maintenance skills, and a well-developed sense of service. Discretion, independence, flexibility, and the ability to adapt to the family's daily needs are essential.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Private Chauffeur
- Provide safe and punctual transportation for a family member.
- Handle daily school drop-offs in the morning and pick-ups at the end of the day, as well as transportation to appointments, activities, and other destinations.
- Keep vehicles clean, in excellent condition, and ready for use.
- Coordinate vehicle maintenance appointments, inspections, and repairs.
- Run errands, make deliveries, and purchase items as requested by the family.
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding the family's movements and activities.
Property Upkeep and Maintenance
- Perform general upkeep and preventive maintenance tasks throughout the interior and exterior of the residence.
- Carry out minor repairs, including basic plumbing, painting, carpentry, and assembly work.
- Ensure the proper functioning of residential equipment and systems.
- Conduct regular visual inspections of the property and report any issues requiring attention.
- Coordinate and oversee specialized service providers and contractors when necessary.
- Assist with seasonal maintenance of outdoor areas, furniture, and equipment.
- Maintain the organization, tidiness, and cleanliness of garages, storage spaces, and utility areas.
- Assist with moving, handling, and installing furniture or equipment.
- Support seasonal preparations and accommodate the family's specific needs.
- Perform various additional tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the residence.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Relevant experience as a private chauffeur, handyman, or in a similar position.
- Valid driver's licence and an excellent driving record.
- Excellent knowledge of the road network in Montreal's North Shore region.
- Practical knowledge of residential maintenance and the ability to perform minor repairs.
- Ability to safely operate common maintenance tools and equipment.
- Good physical condition, allowing for manual work and light lifting.
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively.
- Fluency in French.
- Availability and flexibility to accommodate the family's needs.
- Legal authorization to work in Canada.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
- Work Location: Mirabel, Quebec, with the position relocating to Rosemère in summer 2027.
- Position Type: Full-time, permanent.
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, starting at 6:30 a.m. and finishing around 6:30 p.m., with on-call availability during the day.
- Salary: $70,000 to $80,000 annually, depending on experience.
- Benefits: Group insurance coverage.
- Vehicle: Provided for work-related duties.
- Start Date: As soon as possible.
