  • Also known as Groundskeeper, Property Caretaker, Houseman.
  • Performing indoor and outdoor building maintenance and cleaning.
  • Performing painting, light carpentry and plumbing.
  • Ensuring the residence mechanical systems are working properly.
  • Gardening, lawn mowing, snow removal and grounds keeping.
  • Maintenance of small and heavy equipment.
  • Vehicles cleaning and maintenance.
  • Controlling the access to the property.
  • Assisting other household staff members with miscellaneous duties.
  • Report to the House Manager or the Executive Personal Assistant.

Salary range: $70,000 to $120,000+

The Gardener

WHAT IS A GARDENER?

Here’s a common description of this profession:

  • Responsible for the maintenance of gardens, lawns. flowerbeds, flowers,
    trees and shrubs.
  • Oversees the work of contractors.
  • Orders supplies and equipment for the property.
  • Masters the use of insecticides. herbicides and chemicals as well as
    the use and maintenance of greenhouses.
  • Report to the House Manager, the Executive Personal Assistant or
    directly to the principal.

Salary range: $70,000 to $120,000+
